Fuel Scarcity gone too soon as Kaduna refinery to produce 1.5M litres of petrol daily

Nigerians queuing for fuel

An end might have come to the ongoing fuel scarcity in Nigeria as the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC), which is able to produce 1.5 million litres of petrol daily, has resumed operation.
The Kaduna refinery started supplying fuel today, December 22, 2015, after being shut down in September, Daily Trust reports.
The additional 1.5 million litres of fuel is expected to ensure the filling of 50 trucks a day to supply petrol stations in the north.

“Nigerians need to be patient, by tomorrow (today) I expect the PPMC to  commence trucking and the quantity we are  looking at initially is in the neighbourhood of 1.5million litres per day which of course in the next few days we will  increase it to two million litres of PMS and about 600,00 liters of kerosene,” Managing Director of KRPC, Engineer Saidu Aliyu told journalists on December 21.
Meanwhile President Muhammadu Buhari has apologized to Nigerians for the scarcity saying that the government was working hard to bring an end to it.
